This is not your everyday can of tuna. This is a tin crammed full of giant bluefin tuna, caught via rod and reel, one fish at a time, in the Gulf of Maine. That’s sort of a big deal because unlike other canned tuna, bluefin take on fat as they consume herring and mackerel in the cold waters off Rye, NH, making them especially rich and delicious. As if that isn’t enough, the whole gd thing is preserved and canned in olive oil, inspired by the Mediterranean style. It’s honestly good enough to eat straight out of the can but you could be classy about it if you want and put it on things like poached eggs and niçoise salad.
